About Us

Since our inception in 1982 as one of the pioneers in the arowana breeding industries, we have been dedicated to the conservation of endangered arowana species. It is not an easy task indeed, but with so much passion and research, we have gradually brought advanced arowana breeding and produce the greatest grade arowana after careful selection generation by generation. Moreover, we ensure that the trading in these wild animal specimens does not endanger the species' preservation as we are one of the companies in Asia that is listed as an owner of CITES.

 

In the 1970s arowana was listed as an endangered species, this led to the massive hunting in arowana as an expensive exotic pet. Henceforth, this tends to decrease the nearly extinct arowana population in the wild. Facing the reality, Mr The Henrie attempted to breed arowana in land called Wajok and it has been successful since then. Later, in order to provide a better environment and better outcomes, we relocated to a new 32-hectare area known as Kuala Dua. The company was given the name Wajok after the location where it originated.

Indonesia is a very wealthy country with an abundance of Natural Resources that include both living and non-living ones. Therefore, PT Wajok Intilestari is committed to maximizing the value of these natural resources through the implementation of several sorts of  fish breeding programs to meet all the customer needs and provide the best quality of it. Moreover, we will ensure that the international trading in wild animal specimens like arowana for instance does not jeopardize the species' preservation.



Our Mission

PT Wajok Intilestari is growing its business from Arowana Fish, Botia Fish, and Tiger Fish to a new field of expertise. We aspire to extend and increase its commercial interest across all varieties of living and non-living resources, due to Indonesia's abundant natural resources. By owning several concession licenses and optimizing the use of both natural resources, the Intilestari Group aims to boost profits for its shareholders while supporting the country's economic growth as well as maintaining environmental balance.

However, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is trying to be kind to nature and wise to the people of Indonesia, by providing space for responsible use of protected biota. With the existence of SIPJI and SAJI, this is an effort so that the use of protected biota meets the aspects of Sustainability, Traceability, and Legality.
